Here's everything you need to know about ordering this week at Steamers:

(Crabs are available for same day ordering only)

FRIDAY 7/3

Thanks to high demand and a low catch in the Bay, we will have a VERY limited supply of crabs available on Friday. 

In order to keep our staff safe during the dangerous heat today, we’re making a few changes to our schedule:

 

11:00 - crab ordering begins. We’ll begin taking all orders that include steamed or live blue crabs for the day. We’ll take orders from anyone lined up in person before we begin answering the phones. We’ll take in person orders on the porch during the initial rush, after that we’ll only be taking phone orders until 2, the building will not be open for walk-in orders until 2. After 2 we'll take walk-in and phone orders as usual throughout the day. All steamed orders will be available for a scheduled pickup on the hour or half hour between 2:30 and 6:30.

 

11:30 - we’ll begin taking any orders that do not include steamed or live blue crabs. Please call to place your order, the building will not be open for walk-in orders. All steamed orders will be available for a scheduled pickup on the hour or half hour between 2:30 and 6:30. Market orders (crab cakes, fish, crab meat, raw orders) will be available for pickup after 2.

 

2:00 - the building will be open for walk-in orders and market pickups.

We will continue taking phone or walk-in orders at this time and throughout the day as usual.

We’re making these changes so that we can keep our staff from having to be in the heat any longer than necessary. There will only be two of us (the owners) on site between 11 and 2. By limiting the pickup times to between 2:30 and 6:30, we’re making sure orders are available for pickup during our busiest times but still limiting the amount of time the steam lines will be running. Stay cool, friends!

SATURDAY, 7/4

We will be open from 11-6 on Saturday, 7/4. Crab ordering begins at 11, all other orders at 11:30. We always close a little early on the 4th so that our teenage staff members can spend the holiday evening with their families. 

SUNDAY, 7/5

Please check back later in the week for updates to our menu availability and hours on Sunday.

MARKET ITEMS

(crab cakes, crab meat, fresh fish, scallops, oysters & raw shellfish)

The market will open 30 min after our regular opening times each day (other than Friday - see above). Waiting until then will save you from having to wait in a potentially long line or coming back to pickup your order. Or you can use the market order form below (available until 1 pm on Wednesday).

CRABS

(When we say crabs we mean steamed or live blue crabs - NOT snow crab, dungeness or crab cakes)

Crabs are available for same day ordering only. We do not know how many crabs of each size we’ll have available until just before we open each day. Please call or stop by after we open to place your order for pickup later in the same day. Tuesday and Thursday will most likely be the days with the most crabs available for the week. You can always call to place your order, but we do take orders from everyone lined up at the door at opening before we begin answering the phones.

 

EVERYTHING ELSE STEAMED

(shrimp, snow crab, clams, mussels & Dungeness crab)

We’ll begin taking orders that do not include steamed or live blue crabs 30 minutes after opening each day. You can also preorder up to a week in advance for any non-crab orders by calling ahead (just please don’t call or stop by in the first 30 min we’re open each day if you’re not ordering blue crabs for the day). We usually have a good supply of all of these items and are not at risk of selling out as quickly as with the crabs.
